Tehe­ran, suc­ces­sful­ly con­clu­ded the Iran-Ita­ly Scien­ce, Tech­no­lo­gy and Inno­va­tion Forum

The Iran-Ita­ly Scien­ce, Tech­no­lo­gy and Inno­va­tion Forum, which took pla­ce on 19 and 20 April 2017, was suc­ces­sful­ly con­clu­ded in Teh­ran. The Forum is the lar­ge­st Euro­pean event devo­ted to the inter­na­tio­na­li­za­tion of research and inno­va­tion systems and repre­sen­ts also the plat­form for boo­sting eco­no­mic and cul­tu­ral exchan­ges bet­ween Ita­ly and Iran.

Fol­lo­wing the inau­gu­ral cere­mo­ny, the Ita­lian Mini­ster of Edu­ca­tion, Uni­ver­si­ty and Research, Vale­ria Fede­li, and the Ira­nian Mini­ster of Scien­ce, Research and Tech­no­lo­gy, Moham­mad Farha­di, signed a joint sta­te­ment to imple­ment the col­la­bo­ra­tion alrea­dy begun bet­ween Ita­ly and Iran in Scien­ce and Tech­no­lo­gy sec­tor, fur­ther streng­the­ning insti­tu­tio­nal syner­gy throu­gh the par­ti­ci­pa­tion of scien­ce parks and tech­no­lo­gists, clu­sters and new ini­tia­ti­ves such as the fablabs that took part in the Forum.

The inau­gu­ral day has also been fea­tu­red by 8 the­ma­tic semi­nars inclu­ding a ses­sion dedi­ca­ted to Inno­va­tion Poli­cies with the Ira­nian Vice-Mini­ster for Research and Tech­no­lo­gy, Vahid Ama­di, Inno­va­tion, Star­tup and Inter­na­tio­na­li­za­tion Advi­sor of the Cam­pa­nia Region, Vale­ria Fascio­ne, and the Deve­lo­p­ment Coun­se­lor of the Lazio Region, Gui­do Fabia­ni. Among the topics discus­sed : ener­gy, bio­me­di­ci­ne, agro-food, envi­ron­men­tal tech­no­lo­gies and ICT, inclu­ding a spe­ci­fic focus on cul­tu­ral heri­ta­ge tech­no­lo­gies, a stra­te­gic focus for two coun­tries such as Iran and Ita­ly, rich in histo­ri­cal, archaeo­lo­gi­cal and cul­tu­ral testimonies.

The sche­du­le of one-to-one mee­tings has been also very den­se. Over 400 busi­ness mee­tings bet­ween Ita­lian and Ira­nian resear­chers and entre­pre­neurs to dee­pen the hypo­the­sis of joint research pro­jec­ts, trans­fer of new tech­no­lo­gies and inno­va­ti­ve pro­duc­ts bet­ween research insti­tu­tions and inno­va­ti­ve Ira­nian and Ita­lian companies.

Work has regi­ste­red more than 600 par­ti­ci­pan­ts bet­ween Ita­lian and Ira­nian dele­ga­tes. Final­ly, the fir­st day ended with the pre­sen­ce of Vice-Mini­ster Vahid Ama­di. Kosro Piri, Direc­tor of Tech­no­lo­gy Affairs of the Ira­nian Mini­stry of Scien­ce, Research and Tech­no­lo­gy, and the main actor in orga­ni­zing and pro­mo­ting the Forum, has brought his gree­ting to participants.

On the second day of the Forum, howe­ver, the­re was a series of visi­ts to impor­tant Ira­nian scien­ti­fic and tech­no­lo­gi­cal rea­li­ties inclu­ding the Medi­cal Research Cen­ter of Sha­hid Behe­sh­ti Uni­ver­si­ty, which hosted the Forum, Iran FabLab, insi­de Par­dis Scien­ce and Tech­no­lo­gy Park, and Sha­rif Uni­ver­si­ty, a pre­sti­gious Ira­nian Polytechnic.

SMS Engi­nee­ring suc­ces­sful­ly par­ti­ci­pa­ted to The Iran-Ita­ly Scien­ce, Tech­no­lo­gy and Inno­va­tion Forum, which took pla­ce on 19 and 20 April 2017 in Teh­ran. SMS Engi­nee­ring was pre­sent at the event throu­gh its Ira­nian part­ner EUFOUR, repre­sen­ted by Dr. Filip­po Perta.

Seve­ral Ira­nian com­pa­nies sche­du­led one-to-one mee­tings with SMS Engi­nee­ring sin­ce par­ti­cu­lar­ly inte­re­sted in get­ting more infor­ma­tion on the Soft­ware Solu­tions pre­sen­ted by SMS Engi­nee­ring during the event : AQUIS and myWMS JIS. To all of them, it was clear the bene­fi­ts of having such soft­ware solutions.

AQUIS (Aero­nau­tic Qua­li­ty Impro­ve­ment System) would allow Ira­nian small and medium-sized manu­fac­tu­ring indu­stries that do not yet ope­ra­te in Euro­pe to beco­me auto­ma­ti­cal­ly com­pliant with the pro­duct qua­li­ty stan­dards requi­red by the Euro­pean lar­ge manu­fac­tu­ring indu­stries and the Auto­mo­ti­ve, Avia­tion and Aero­spa­ce Industry.

myWMS JIS (Ware­hou­se Mana­ge­ment System with Just in Sequen­ce logic) would allow Ira­nian small and medium-sized manu­fac­tu­ring indu­stries that do not yet ope­ra­te in Euro­pe to beco­me auto­ma­ti­cal­ly com­pliant with the logi­stics stan­dards of Euro­pean lar­ge manu­fac­tu­ring indu­stries and the Auto­mo­ti­ve Indu­stry that use the JIS logic.

Just with Sha­rif Uni­ver­si­ty, which each year sees many talen­ted engi­neers gra­dua­ting, the Coun­ci­lor Fascio­ne and the Gene­ral Secre­ta­ry of the City of Scien­ce, Vin­cen­zo Lipar­di, came into con­tact to deve­lop joint pro­jec­ts in favor of start-ups and busi­ness acce­le­ra­tion, in syner­gy with the new cer­ti­fied incu­ba­tor Cam­pa­nia New­Steel, crea­ted by the part­ner­ship bet­ween the Uni­ver­si­ty of Naples Fede­ri­co II” and the City of Scien­ce. Final­ly, a dele­ga­tion com­po­sed of orga­ni­za­tions acti­ve in the mari­ne and mari­ti­me sec­tors, led by the dele­ga­tes of the City of Scien­ce, was recei­ved by repre­sen­ta­ti­ves of the Offi­ce of Scien­ce and Tech­no­lo­gy of the Vice Pre­si­den­cy of the Ira­nian Repu­blic in order to meet a group of insti­tu­tes and indu­stry com­pa­nies and build a net­work of coo­pe­ra­tion for the future.
